Our Graduates
The photograph above speaks volumes about the mission of Ministry of Hope Lesotho. It was taken during the recent visit to the U.S. of our executive director, Mamonyane Mohale. That's Mamonyane, second from the left. Next to her, the graduate, is KB. Her full name is Keabetsoe, and she grew up at Ministry of Hope before moving to Mobile, Alabama, in January 2021. Those around her in the photo are Shawn and Duke Walker and other members of KB’s adoptive family.
Children like KB arrive at Ministry of Hope in need of love, nutrition and education. They arrive in need of hope. As we restore the bodies and minds of these children, we work to place them with relatives in Lesotho who can care for them. When this is not possible, we help connect them with loving, adoptive families abroad. Families like the Walkers in Alabama.
Families like the Heuermans in South Carolina. The photo below was taken in Greenville, where Isaac lives with his adoptive family. Stephanie and Jef Heuerman welcomed Isaac in 2011 when he was five years old.
KB and Isaac both graduated from high school in May. KB is going on to Huntingdon College in the fall, where she'll play on the soccer team. Isaac is working for North American Rescue while he plans for a career as a script writer, with hopes of owning an animation company.
In the months ahead, we will share more about KB's and Isaac's journeys.
