Improvements to Our Home
In March, Ministry of Hope Lesotho was the grateful recipient of a special Witness Season collection from First Presbyterian Church of Spartanburg, South Carolina. These funds were earmarked for capital improvements to our modest, three-bedroom home. This work is now well underway!
So far we have transformed a dilapidated playground area with brand-new equipment for our children to enjoy. We are in the midst of a full-scale kitchen renovation (and have plans for renovating our single bathroom as well). We have replaced the aging furniture in the living room and added a new carpet and curtains. The front porch area (unusable during the hottest and coldest weather) has now been enclosed, giving us additional and much-needed living space indoors. We have also replaced our windows and doors with new, energy-efficient fixtures.

More improvements are coming. We have been challenged in this work by labor shortages, supply-chain limitations and rising costs. But we have faith and determination to see this important work through! We are deeply grateful to the parishioners of First Presbyterian Spartanburg, and to all the congregations and individuals who have contributed so generously to our ministry in 2021.
