College and Beyond
They grow up so fast. Two young women who spent much of their childhood in our care are now pursuing college educations.
Ntsepiseng lived at Ministry of Hope Lesotho for eight years, before being reunited with her family last year. Now 18 years old, Ntsepiseng is pursuing a home economics course in the local agriculture college.
Mosa was among the first children who arrived at Ministry of Hope in 2010. She was among the 30 children we took in after the government closed a poorly performing children’s home. She lived with us until she entered high school, when she was taken in by members of her extended family. Ministry of Hope is providing educational support to Mosa as she seeks admission to the university.
Ministry of Hope Lesotho also is supporting the postsecondary education of a young man, Pitso, who recently completed his course to become a laboratory technician. Pitso’s parents died when he was four years old. He was raised by a grandfather. The family needed financial assistance when Pitso decided to pursue college studies. We are grateful that we had the means to take Pitso under our wing. (And we are grateful for the hours he spent tutoring our high school students before he moved on to continue his studies!)
These three young people are blazing a path for our younger children. With the continued support of our donors, Ministry of Hope Lesotho can not only nourish and educate our children, but also prepare them for successful lives as adults.
